Just ask Arlene Alcasid!
I was rolling in laughter, and so were everybody around the game that Arlene Alcasid concocted during the fiesta. Tears from laughing were in our eyes, but before we talk about that, let start from the beginning. Possumtown Park, 11 A.M., June 20, 1998, as I was driving my car into a parking spot, I immediately noticed colorful bandritas" (those little triangular flags) swaying to the cool breeze that was blowing. Stepping out, I heard some familiar dance numbers from boom boxes.
As I walked closer to the group, I noticed the beautiful sign that say's "CALAMBA FIESTA 98" that was created by Malou and Nini Mendoza.
There was a lot of food. It was a potluck affair. Mrs. Catalina de Leon, however, brought a lechon, which was a hit.
Attendance was 100 % better than last year as definitely looks like twice the number of people attended from last year. Some of the new fiesta attendees were Mr. Tom Lazaro, Mr. Barameda, and others I could not recall.
The park was perfect. There was a place where others played volleyball. There were places where one could barbecue. The gas for the grill was provided by the city.
